1. With a ring you already own
Place a ring that fits that finger on a flat surface. Measure its inner diameter with a ruler, the widest distance from inside edge to inside edge. Do not include the metal.
2. By measuring your finger
Wrap a thin strip of paper around your finger just below the knuckle, snug but not tight. Mark where the ends meet, then measure the length of the strip. That value is the inner circumference.
